faustina Bordoni (1697-1781) was the most renowned mezzo-soprano in the first half of the 18th century.
On this CD mezzo-soprano Vivica Genaux and Cappella Gabetta present beautiful arias written for Bordoni by the two great baroque composers George Frideric Handel and Johann Adolph Hasse, Bordoni's husband.
